Refunds

All sales are final, including sales of tickets for performances that are canceled due to inclement weather.  If you are unable to attend an event, return your tickets to the box office and you will receive an acknowledgment of a charitable contribution equal to the face value of the tickets for income tax purposes (handling fees are not included).  Tickets must be returned to the box office by 4:00pm on Friday before each concert weekend.

In the event of severe weather, please check the Symphony website or contact the Symphony Office (434) 924-3139 or the UVA Arts Box Office at (434) 924-3376 to check the status of the concert. In most cases, an event will proceed as scheduled unless the university is closed. To check the operational status of the University of Virginia, click here or call (434) 924-7669.

Children

The Symphony does not recommend concerts for children under the age of 6.  Babies in arms are not permitted into either concert hall.  All children must have their own purchased tickets and must be seated with an adult.

Check out the “Education and Community” tab above for a variety of family-friendly events that the orchestra hosts every year.

All current UVA and UVA Healthcare employees are eligible for a 20% discount on individual Charlottesville Symphony tickets.  The discount does not apply to subscriptions.
