The Charlottesville Symphony provides unforgettable music education experiences for children, families and schools in twelve Central Virginia counties. Both new and longstanding partnerships help ensure that public, private and home schools have access to high-quality, professional resources that address the needs of K-12 music programs in the region. Our goals are to:
"Thank you" to those in your ranks that made Thursday's concert so memorable and meaningful. The musical selections were wonderful and the performance was excellent in every way. We are so appreciative of the service you provide to our community and our students.
- Andrew MacDanel, music teacher, Greenbrier Elementary School
Dear Orchestra, Thank you for your great music you real expired me to become a musician my favorite part is when you took turns telling us about different instrument and my favorite section was all of them.
- Greenbrier Elementary School student
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't say enough how special this program is. The opportunity to have a professional player in the classroom playing with our school ensemble is priceless. Thank you for everything you do to support the next generation of musicians!
- Pete Echols, Stuart Hall School
I was so impressed with how you tailored your presentation to meet the interests and attention of our little guys...Many of our students don't have significant exposure to the performing arts and you could tell how excited they were to hear the instruments and learn about some of their origins.
- Emily Dooley, principal, Nathanael Greene Primary School
This was a wonderful experience for our students and I could not have been more pleased…I would love to continue with such wonderful programs. With so many of our students needing financial support, they will never have an opportunity to be involved in anything even close without you all.
